ispell file_name ! file_name はチェック対象のファイル名
これを実行すると、画面の一番下に [SP]とでます。ここで、S, R, A, I, X, Q, ? の意味は、R)epl A)ccept I)nsert L)ookup U)ncap Q)uit e(X)it or ? for help
S : 次へ
R : 置換
候補が表示されていれば選択したい番号、そうでなければ
正しいスペルを入力しなおします。
A : 次へ(このチェックの間、同様な単語についてs全て有効)
I : 自分の辞書に登録(~/.ispell_english に登録される)
X : 現在までの修正を保存して終了
Q : 修正を無効にして終了
? : ヘルプ(説明)
です。大文字、小文字の区別はないので、小文字で、r, a, i, x, q をタイプすれば OK です。
以下(cut here と cut here の間)の行を、.emacs の最後に付け 加えて下さい。

mule を起動し、モードラインで、
M-x ispell-buffer (M-x は、ESC + x)
をタイプします。
word.pl を起動して、英和辞典(EJDICT)を検索します。
> alias yaku '/usr/local/lib/perl5/word.pl \!* | cat | nkf -e'とします。この行を ~/.cshrc の alias 指定の部分に上の行を書いて おけば、毎回タイプする必要はありません。
上記のエイリアス登録を行った上で、yaku と打てば、'と ' で囲まれたコマンドを発行します。
